Local restaurant ischanging it's image How important is the name of a restaurant? John Pappas and Peter Seferlis, owners of the Prin- ce Restaurant at 1009 Dun- das Street East, in Whitby, feel the name can mean a lot - especially to a dining spot. It is for this reason they have changed the name of their restaurant from The Burger Prince to The Prince Restaurant. "We feel now that the first name we chose was a mistake right from the beginning," syas John Pap- pas. "We neyer were a hamburger specialty house, nor did we intend i t to be. " John and Peter have big changes in mind for their restaurant that opened on April17, 1980. At the moment, the decor is warm and bright, with orange being the predominant colour, in the seats, drapes and lamp shades. The restaurant is spotlessly dlean and the staff, quick and efficient. John and Peter are plan- ning extensive changes in the interior of the restaurant. The present tables and seats will be ex- changed, the decor which includes drapes and possibly the colour scheme, will also CEDRICK'S 173 Brock Street, North Whitby. A popular dining spot. They want to make the Prin- ce Restaurant a good dining place, where people can go out for a meal and want to return again and again. Their plans also caîl for a business luncheon at fair prices, and a children's menu so the whole family can have a night out. John has a theory that with husbands and wives working, it can be cheaper to eat out than at home. He agrees that to make this possible, people will have to dine at restaurants where they know the owners are of- fering good food at the best available prices. Because of buying meats and produce in quantity, it is possible for a restaurant to offer meals for leas then you would pay at eat at home, and this is especially true if one con- siders the labour invovled.
