The company's interest in overseas work began in 1979 with the formation of Canrede Limited, a joint venture of Totten Sims Hubicki and two other On- tario consulting engineering firms, Anderson Associates Ltd. and Albery, Pullerits, Dickson Ltd. Canrede Limited was en- couraged and assisted by the Ontario Ministry of Industry and Tourism to survey the market potential in In- donesia, Malaysia and other Asian countries.
