Toast- mistress Club seeking new members Self-development is the focal point of Toastmistress training? It is the individual who benefits from this organization which offers an opportunity for developing communication and leader- ship skills. By taking command of previously frightening situations, the individual learns to conquer self- consciousness. This is exac- tly what members of the Whitby Toastmistress Club did at the Tuesday, April 7 meeting when Marlene Bond, Pauline Baxter, Althea Darwin, and Ilene Bulloch stepped in at the last moment for members who were unable to attend. This willingness to take command of unexpected assignments is a direct result of the confidence you gain in Toastmistress training. No greater opportunity for self-development exists than that offered by International Toastmistress Clubs. For- tunately the young Whitby club still has room for new members. Please call Gail Harrison, at 683-6067, or Pauline Torresan, at 668-6760, for membership details.
