F ifth seasofi By ANN GOULDING The Whitby Iroquois Swim Club started its fifth season last week, and first practices saw a wave of new recruits hit the water in addition to the club's core swim- mers returning to corn- pete again, which ac- cording to head coach Tom Mcboughlin shouid make for a weil- balanced competitive team. The club is moving in- tocompetition early by hosting the annual Whitby-Lindsay Cha- llenge Cup meet on Sun- day, October 4. W.I.S.C. remains undefeated in this dual competition since its commence- ment two seasons ago when the Whitby Lion's Club donated the trophy. W.I.S.C. swimmers will be travelling to Longueuil, Quebec, Oc- tober 16 for a rematch with the Longueuil Orca Swim Club. This yearly sports exchange is being sponsored by the Town of Whitby Recreation Department.
