WISC led the team standings ahead of Peterborough, Ajax and Lindsay following the conclusion of the indivi- dual events. A shortage of swim- mers in the older age group relay events af- fected the final out- corne, and WISC finlshed just a few poin- ts behind Peterborough and many points ahead of Ajax and Lindsay. WISC's Chris Don- nelly was the top swimmer collecting four firsts and a second place finish in boys' 10 and under events. The draw was carrled out under license number 314920.-1 tured four firsts in 11/12 boys' competition and Janice Currie won three firsts and two seconds for the top 10 and under girls' spot. Impressive perfor- mances were given by Kevin Walker, 12, with three firsts and a second, Brent Walsh, 10, two firsts, a second and two thirds, Michelle Pri- meau, 11, with two fir- sts, a fourth and sixth, and Denise VanDole- weerd, 14, with two fir- sts and a sixth. According to coach Tom McLoughlin, many fine swims and im- proved times were seen at the meet with many of the team's newest inembers making waves and challenging some of, the older swimmers. Julie Leswick, Jodi MacPhail, Anne-Marie Scott, Wendy Primeau, Jay Lee, Jason Spencer, Lyle Brockman, and Peter Pfeiffer, are several young WISC swimmers that made their presence feit at the Lindsay competition. WISC's next meet is the 200 metre invitation- aI at Peterborough on November 8. The senior'squad will meet up with the Paul Dwyer Saints last night at the Civic Fields, in the semi-finals. The Hawk junior team ended the Eagles season shutting them out 20) to 0. 1 Ron O'Keefe, Joe Nieuwendyk and Steve Blackburn scored the Hawk majors. The juniors will meet the Saints tonight at the Civic Field. Un- fortunately the resuits of the two semi-final matches were not avail- able at press time. The finals for both junior and senior teams will be played this Saturday at the Civic Fields. Whitby Blades win and tie The Whitby Blades girls hockey team engineered a win and a tie this past weekend in two low scoring con- tests, defeating Downs- view 1 to 0 and splitting a 1 to 1 decision with Point Edward. The girls' record now stands at two wins, two losses and a tie, having lost the first two games in their new Central On- tario Women's Hockey Association League 4 to 0Oto the London Djlts and 6 to 1to O.D.S. Downsview suffered a defeat at the hands of the Biades 2 to 1 in the third game of the schedule. Vickie Moffatt scored the lone Blades' goal Saturday night, giving themn the win. Kathy Kemp got the shut out. Lois Pitre scored the team's only goal in the 1 to 1 tie with Point Ed- ward. Karen Moloney and Marg Fraser added assîsts. The Blades wilI be travelling to London this weekend where they will face the Dilts Saturday and Point Ed- ward on Sunday. Both halves of the Henry Street Hawks ad- vanced to the semi- finals of the Lake On- tario Secondary School Association football league with a pair of convincing wins this past weekend.
