Coach House has much to offer Dining out can be a special occasion no mat- ter what night of the week it is, if you are en- joying your meal, and especially if the price is right. Most people think of that special evening out as having to be on the weekend, but some restaurants in this area are putting on specials during the early part of the week, and one of them is the Coach House Bill Diel at the Stone Cellar The Stone Cellar at Antony's in Whitby is of- fering something dif- ferent to those who en- joy going out to a spot that has atmosphere and where they can have a drink or dine if they s0 wish. Currently Oshawa's Bill Diel is holding forth at the Cellar. He played to a packed house on his first night there, Sep- tember 8. Bill was born and raised in Oshawa and has managed groups and musicians for the past il years. He has decided to stop working his head off promoting someone else and start doing something for himself. He has an open contract at the Cellar but will leave on oc- casion to fi previously accepted dates. Diel presents a one- man show, accompany- ing himself on the piano. He has songs that he feels have been part of his life. When he is not at the Stone Celar en- Tender for Mai Whitby Town Council has awarded the tender for the completion of the Mary and Hickory Streets reconstruction project. At its meeting last week, council accepted the bid 0f Lamco Con- struction Limited to re- construct Oie two streets at a cost of $232,769. The project had been tendered in September but the lowest bid at that time came from Bennett Paving that costed the deal at $361,5W3. The retendering provided for the con- struction of base asphaît, curbs and gut- ters, sidewalks and sod- ding will be done in 1982. The project includes the reconstruction of Mary Street East from Ash to Hickory Streets. Hickory Street will be rebuilt for a distance 0f 200 feet north of Mary Street. Trunk water supply and sanitary sewer pipes will also be replaced on Mary Street. However, this I tertaining, he is at home writing songs. In fact, he has completed three during the past few months, but admits that up until now he is the only one who has heard them. His manager William Little says that this is a whole new career for Bill. He feels that Bill should break into his singles act at home, because home base is usually the toughest nut to crack of them ail. The Stone Cellar will be presenting Bill Diel from Monday through Saturday and you can enj oy Cantina dining while enjoying the music. Such items on the menu as Veal Par- migiana, Stuffed Trout, Meat Crepes and Veal Schnitzel will be offered at prices that will please you.
