Whlle in St. Donat, which is l.ocated 125 km north of, Mon- treal, the students will Denis be part of a unique edu- cational and cultural program called "Inter- face": a meeting of cul- tures. However, there is one "catch" to this holi- day atmosphere - the language of communi- cation will -be French. Making use of their second language, these Andersonions will spend foud days and three nights partaking in a great variety of activi- ties. Most intriguing of- the outdoor activities will undoubtedly be the in-depth historical and geographical study of the St. Donat area. Exam week is here, and students can be seen wandering the halls, mumbling quotes, theorems, and conjunctions. Last week, to ease> the pressure of studying, a banana-eating contest was held. It.took place during the junior and senior lunches on Thursday. The competition was based on home. rooms. Each room sent two courageous contestants. Bananas are no longer a lunch favourite ini the cafeteria. Computers, a recent addition to DO'C's facilities, are proving to be a very worthwhlle investment. We now have 15 PET Commodore computers, three disc drives, and three printers.' This was the first year computer science was offered atDO'C. It was offered at the grade 10 level and caught the interest of 95 students.
