According to a spokes- man for the Durham Regional- Polic 'e Force, the two women had left the Bloor Street West inn at about 1: 40 a.m. on February 2 and were followed by two men. * The women returned from the parking lot into the inn and told the bar- tender and the bouncer who went out and told the two men to leave. *The police said that the suspects left but retur- ned when the women at- tempted to leave. The spokesman said that the bartender and the bouncer went back outside when one of the men pulled out a shot- gun and aimed it at the bartender. At that point, the bouncer. pushed the man into bis car and- they lef t the scene. Approximately' four minutes later, P.C. Brian Hall and P.C. Alex Mack saw the car in Whitby while on patrol near the Thickson Road Dundas Street in- tersection. The. constables stop- ped the car in front of Nurse Chev-Olds where they arrested one man and siezed two shot-- guns. Christopher T. Hene- bery, 24, of 1010 Dundas Street East, Unit 61 has been charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous and impaired driving. He appeared in Oshawa provincial court in February, how- ever, the outcome of that hearing was flot known at press time.
