With the leadership of our student council president, Joanne Gallagher,' we hqve seen many goals achieved. The council pur- chased a mîcrowave that was a welcome asset to the cafeteria. The council arrariged for our school jackets. An array of dances, including the memor- able Christmas Formai, have also resulted. The dances are not only for enjoyment, but they raise funds to help run both intra anid extra-muraIs. The couricil sponsors the chess club, outing club, religion department, St. John's Youth Corps, and lately supplied $125 worth of pop for the Grade 8 orientation. The council is doing a job worth com- mending. Upcoming events include a Hat' Day in honor of St. Patrick on March 17, and our annual Spring Melody. This concert will be held on May 13 and 14.
