Hearty congratulations to Amanda, who won second'prize for a gradeseven student in the whoie region. ý The Junior Science Fair for grades four through six was held at the school Monday and Tuesday of this week and Ilil soon be able to announce the win- ners of this contest. The primary choir and'clarinet players have been busy with performances. Last Thursday they piayed and sang many selections for-the public at the Whitby Mail. ýOn Monday, they entertained the senior citizens at Fairview Lodge. The whole school was very active Tuesday evening at its annuai open house where parents, relatives and friends were able to see the pupils work, both academie and creative, as weli as seeing demonstrations and ail the projects for the Junior Science Fair contest. LIBRARY NEWS The library is celebrating "National Book Festival" from April 26 to May 2. It's a colouring contest for children in kindergarten to grade three and for grade four and up it is a contest to place the correct Canadian author with the right book.
