Stir ini raisins, nuts and oats. .Bake i greased muf- fin ins at 375 degrees for 18 minutes. Makes about 25 muffins.' X-MAS SUGAR COOKIES ic. butter 2 'c. sugar 2 eggs. 1 tep. vanilla 4tep. grated lemon peel %4 c. dafry sour cream' 4 c. sifted ail- purpose fleur 2 tsp. bakingpowder 1 tsp. sait %4 tsp. baklng soda %4 tep. nutmeg Cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Beat in eggs, vaila and lemon peel. Stir i n sour cream. Sift together flour, bak- ing powder, sait, soda and nutmeg. Add flour mixture -to creamed mixture stirring ,tii smooth. Chili dougli. On lightly floured surface roll to 1/ inch thick. Cut with X- mas cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degreesfor 12 to 14 minutes. Cool then remove to rack.. Add sugar,, corn syrup, water and sait; mix weil. Cook, stirring constantly, un- til sugar dissolves and mixture comes to boil- ing. Cook ,to liard bal (250ý degrees) 'without stirring. Remove froni heat. Beat egg whites uniti stiff, adding red or green jeilo. Pour hot syrup over egg whites and continue beating until soft peaks form. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
