Since taking over from previous owners, Bill Hoffman has made only minor changes in the interior, and added a "isimple but. elegant" sign in front of the rest- aurant. Hoffman says the in- terior changes have been made to brighten the atmosphere in the restaurant. Hoffman's, while spe- cializing in seafood and steak, offers many other choices such as prime nib, rac of lamb, and specially prepared Chicken a la Madagas- car. John Morrisey, mana- ger of Whitby's Casey's located at 1100 Dundas St. E., says his rest- aurant offers quick ser- vice and a relaxed cozy atmosphere. The house Case' S_ specialties are ribs, and chicken wings and chicken fingers. Casey's has been located in Whitby since June of 1981. The restaurant is de- corated in Early Ameni- can style, with plants, sturdy wooden tables and warm lighting. The Canadian-owned company started in Sud- bury three years ago and has now grown to eight restaurants with a ne w location to open soon in the Oshawa Cen- tre in the old Kresgies site. The innovative com- pany, which also owns Pat and Mario's rest- aurant across the street, is currently selling tick- ets to its annual New Year's party.
