Pat and Mike moved to Oshawa after operat- ing Seaway Fish, and Chips ln' Toronto be- cause tbey saw the need for a good fisb and"chip restaurant at famiy prices. The busband'and wife team started their'busi- ness with a small take- out restaurant with only 15 seats. They now have room for aboutý 175 peo- pie after expanding the restaurant in 1974. One aspect of Pat and Mario's that is unique and innovative is the service. Customers place their orders at the counter when they enter tbe restaurant. The diming room-seats about 70 people comfort- ably and bas a bright green and beige decor in .keeping witb the Irish menu. Pat and Mario's hopes to create a warm, casual and inviting at- mospherefor customers and provide satisfying "good-slzed" 'portions for bngry iners.
