The grant wiil be used for a one-year project designed to help revital- ize Whitby's industrial sector. The five employ- ees will work in the areas of marketing development, industrial liaison projects, busi- ness and professional evaluation and tourism consulting. Mayor Bob Attersley and MWP Scott Fenneli met with two of the new employees last Satur- day at the town's Tourist Information Centre. "The grant wiIl be used strictly to create employment in the com- munity, " Fenneil said. Mayor Attersley said he is pleased the town is able to provide an op- portunity for the new employees to develop their skiils and at the saine time boost the town's industrial pro- grams.
