Do you ever wish you could find a quick and easy formula that would revolutionize your life in a posi- tive way? 0f course you do. Unfortunately iL is flot always that simple. Timeaàfter time we face obsta- cles which can cause us to falter. The key is to find a way to minimize the problems and increase our chances of success. Weil the way is Jesus Christ (John 14 :6) and the key s the above litte poem and îts implications. Not because it is a step by step program of development but because it helps us think responsibly. Jesus neyer said it would be easy to follow His example, just worth iL. Matter of fact living a Christ centered life is down right difficuit at times. There is a battie that wages within each one of us. Spiri- tual warfare that is as intense as any military cam- paign and our souls are at stake. Repenting of our sin, accepting Christ as our Saviour and choosing to, serve God is really just a beginining (ie. birth). It is flot a once for ahl end to temptation, trial and pain. But it does give us divine weapons with which to fight and win. So let us fight weil and neyer be guilty of aiding and abetting the enemy by supplying himn with food and ammumtion. We must in fact do ail we can to strengthen our own forces and at the same time starve the opposition to death. Really it boils down to, this. God gave you a free will. What you do with iL can make an eternity of difference. If you choose to feed that part of you which is eàrthy, selfish and sensuous you wii be that typeof prson. On the other hand if you choose to feed that prt of you which is spiritual and godly in nature you wiil be that type of person (ie. Christ- like). So it would seemn that the lîttle slogan, "'You are what you eat", is more true than we ever reahized. ~Spiatfire Band plays IWhiýtby I've Got A Gai In and «'Marie" have made The Spitfire Band was Jackie Rae very in ai aonrOfcusi This popular Lune of the 40's along with the others such as "Elmerps a r'nyncuaK,,wnL...an u - tario group cailed the "Spitfire Band", who will rol mto Whitby's Iroquois Park Arena Tun e' P& g ofIndin Y UI«.Tpt OntairloTax Grants For Senior Cïiîens 1983 Inst,,almentsare ini the Mail Ontario Tax Grants for Seniors is a program designed speciiically to help offset municipal and school taxes for Ontario residents 65 and over. The first album simply cailed "The Spitfire Band" is going gold; the second "The Spitfire Band, Flight III' has been such as, success that the.recording group is now making personai appearances. Some of the musicians had only worked ini sound studios and neyer before live audiences. Their stage presence is colourful; a row of white, a row of blue, a row of red and the music stands i red, white and blue also. The musicians pro- duced and emnceed by from early twenties to veterans both of the second World War and the music of the 40's. They look and sound like a group that have work- ed together for many years. The old tunes are played with a new ver- ve; the musicians a joy to listen to and watch.
