Durham Regional, Police say the ground floor apartment of Caroline Kueblor, of 1455 Byron St. S., Apt. 3, was broken into sometime between 9 p.mn. Saturday and 1:15 arn. Sunday. The aim was to promote the benefits of Toastmistress training bo other members in the community. The meeting proved to be successful as the guests appeared to out- number the members present. President, Shirley MacDonald presented a magazine subseription, to the Whltby. Public Library and this was received by Marg Mc- Fadyen, Chief Librarian. Commentator Betty Dubowski explained the evening's proceechngs followed by a cail to, or- der by the president. In- vocation was given by Pauline Torresan foilowed by a cordial welcome and introduc- tion. Lee Hewitt gave us a brief history on the In- ternational Toast- mistress Club, which was very informative and educational.
