Award winners 'were Terry ËEmmrett, "Top Wbitby Tiger; Malcolm Suddons, Runner-Up; John Tranter, Rookie; Ailnn E mmett, Top 10K Female Runner; and Brian Davies, Top 10K Male Runner. Each member received a trophy or a gift, or both, for the x tra effort they put into the club. A special thank you is extended on' behaif of the club to Ian Barron Motors and Jaeger 'International (Eation Eaton Centre) for donating the trophies and gifts. The W.T.R.C. has a very busy 1984 schedule. In January, they wiil be participating in the, In- ternational Team Event in Peterborough. While preparing for this half- marathon, they wiil be making arrangements for their own and their first half-marathon on April 1. Furthermore, plans are stili underway to send a team over to England in early June to participate in the Plymouth marathon, which is a very hard and chailenging route. Ian Barron, President of W.T.R.C. is very, pleased with how well the. club is doing and attributes this to the hard work and -en- thusiasm of each mem- ber to raise funds and seek out sponsors. "We are even getting queries from top run- ners from other clubs asking us about Our club," he said, stressing that the club is not just for competiti ve runners but for aIl types of run- ners in ail age groups . If anyone would like further information about the W.T.R.C. please caîl Ian Barron at 668-5591 after 8 p.m. or Richard' Attwool, Vice-President, at 668- 0584 after 8p.m. A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year is extended to ail members and in- dividuals who have helped the club during the past seven months., HOUSE LEAGUE NOVICE B-W Minor Hockey, Association (bouse League) scores PEEWEE -~ I -
