First, we bad eight days of exams and you might have noticed the nornally sane rational students pulling their bair or banging their heads against a wall. While those right days .were definitely trying, for some people the next two days were infinitely worse - when we received the results of the 'exama. But everyone is happy that those days are over. Anderson is getting involved in community events. On Feb. 4 some Old'Boys .The l3th annual "«Old Boys Gamne".. of Henry Street High School will =epae on Feb. 24 bgniat 7p.m. Any graduates who have played senior basketball at the school are welcomne to par- ticipate and should con- tact the» physical education department at 668-1733. students participated in the Big Brothers bowling tournament. These students raised money for Big Brothers. These bowlers raised pledges from people in, the community, and bowled for a point per pin. The Outers' Club is back in the swing of things. On Feb. 1 they commenced their swim practices. These prac- tices are conducted at Iroquois Park and are a preparation- for our Algonquin park trip in May. Also, the Outers Club went cross-country skiing at Trillium Valley on Feb. 7. These activities help students ents are filed with life- time memories. On a somewhat sad- der note, dependlng on one's point of vlew, report cards were han- ded out last Thursday. The last period of the day waàs cut short by fif- teen minutes to "1make or break" a student's accumulate points for. the year end trip. On Feb. 10, the annual Valentine's dance was held. A D.J. provided the music and set the stage for a good time. Another St. Valen- tine's tradition is the delivery 0of carnations and carda by the school store. This gives secret admirers a chance to show their feelings and also lets boyfriends reaffirm their "'undying love" to their girlfrienîds - and vice versa. With an action-packed program for our annual winter carnival on Feb. 21, this month is proving to be anything but AutoParts& Service day. A week ago, the junior girls volleyball team played against Henry Street High School. Although the junior girls served well and made some spectacular saves, Henry won ail three gaines. However, the score was fairly close in the first and the last. Our last three games wil be played during this week with updated sports scores next week. In same day action, the. senior girls volleyball team played a good match against Henry. In the first game, Henry narrowly defeated DO'C with a score of 15-11. Henry dominated the second game and won 15-4. However, DO'C fought back to take the third game 15-8. In the fourth and final- game, our girls tied the score at il only to lose 15-11. Mon- day's game'at Dunbar- ton wil be in next .week's column. The junior boys basketball team fiished its schedule defeating Courtice 48-33.
