This is "a spellbinding play that has more twists and turns than a grapevine." It was first produced in 1978 at the Music Box Theatre in New York City. Critic Rex Reed proclaimed it " the most stupendous suspence drama that I have ever seen."? Now local audiences wîll have a chance to judge it for themselves. Among the cast are two Whitby residents,, Roz Michaels-Ludgate and Rick Kerr. Roz originally halls from New Jersey City, N.J.* where she was active with the Fenimore High tech cornes to mal Players until she met and married a critic. Currently she is Executive Producer for 0H00 radio. Her part as Myra, wife of the leading character, is ber first appearance on a Canadian stage and ber first role since she appeared as a "'grape stomper" in "The Mouse That Roared". Kerr is a native of On- tario and bas made his home in this area for the last six-and-a-balf-years since he took over as the manager of Durham College Athletic Com- plex. He ended up with the lead in the play "IConduct Unbecoming" and bas been active ever since. Both Oshawa Little Theatre and Whitby Theatre Company have made use of bis con- siderable talents. Both Michael-Ludgate and Kerr expressed both enthusiasm for the capable direction and back-up crew as well as the warm and friendly received from the Borelians. Other members of the cast are Terry Hodgins as the lead, Dr. John Steward playing a lawyer and Coralie Nolan as Dutch pbychic. Nolan was a regular for many' years on the Tommy Hunter show with ber sisters. The Borelians have a well-earned reputation for turming out first class entertainment. Last year tbey took the Thea Awards for Best Production and Best Production of a Canadian Play at the Community Theatre Central Ontario Festival. At the Ontario-wide competition in Sudbury, they not only came second but picked up awards for best costumes and best male supporting actor as well.
