This year, we have -already competed in Buffalo and Kingston, bringlng home a total of seven gold medals, one silver and one bronze medal. The weekend of Feb. 25 we competed in Kingston at the, Eastern Ontario Sectional Championships in which each of 0w' four Whitby teams won their sec- tional events. Four gold medals to one club. The Whitby Ice Crystals, 0w' junior team, moved to the in- vitational finals and won the silver medai. Their coach, Stephanie Flanigan, claimed the silver medai made them hungrier for the gold when it came to the sec- tionals championship, in which for the first time since sectionals started, the Crystais beat Ot- tawa's Green Machine out of the gold., The masters team, the Whitby Ice Ages, also won their gold in the invitational event. 'Ail these competions and hours of practising are done with fund mil *-- g 1 raising on the part of the parents and the girls on the teams.
