Twenty-six students are expected to go, super- vised by five staff members: Mr. Willams, Mr. Nawrot, Mrs. Bernard, Miss Davidson and Miss Roson. A mandatory test was held in first aid in which the students were required to achieve 75 per cent or greater to pass. If they failed they had to repeat the test unti the pass was achieved. The students are responsible for planning menus, buying food, cooking and cleaning up. Ail the work is done by the students. The im- portance of the trip is to teach the students. how to co-operate and deal with situations such as stress or safety. Another objective is to teach those involved how to cope without the luxuries of life such as a curling iron or a blow dryer. Only the necessary equipment is to be taken: canoe, nylon tents, pots and pans and saws. Self- confidence and' in- dependence are achieved as well as good student/teacher rela-' CHIORINE REG.
