By PETER GABRIEL If you have neyer ex- perienced the Camp Samac Adventure before, now's the time to satplanning. Young and old alike are welcome to visit our 204 acre camp. We offer the public two beautiful walking trails, a 50 metre outdoor heated pool and several co-ed camping programs. The recently re- constructed trails cover f the northwest and southeast parts of the camp. The Sunrise Nature Trail is found just east of ouir ad- ministration building off of Simcoe St.. N. It covers the southeast area and winds along several creeks and Springs. The Sunset Nature Traiis found by usmng our north entran- ce off of Conlins Rd. E. Just follow the driveway down to the pool parking lot. In the northeast Corner of the-parking lot you wil find the entran- ce tothe trail. Some of the highliglits of this trail are beavers, an- cient cedar trees (dating back to 1883) and many beautiful bir- ds. To assure that your walks are a success stop off at our, ad- ministration building and pick up our guided brochures. In each you Wal find an explanation for each Station along your walk. Our pool is an Olym- pic size 50 metres. It can be found by using the Coniin Road entrance. It lias a fenced int shallow» end three feet deep; and a"diving area twelve feet deep. The design of the pool is in a cross. This way you may swim lengths, dive or use the' sballow end without' running into somebody else. Our public swim- ming hours are- Monday through Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. We al so have swimming lessons which are in two sessions, one in July the other in August. The pool wil open Saturday, June 23. For girls and boys aged 5 to 14 we offer several different cam- ping experiences. We have a co-ed Day Camp Camp wiil be taken on canoe rides. Ail of the canoeing wiIl take'place on ouïr fully supervised Lake Samac. Then after canoeing ail of the cam- pers will be taken for a swim in our pool. This is just a smail sample of how we would keep your child busy. For boys aged il to 14 years we offer a' wil der- ness camp. The.location of the camp is Halibur- ton on the Lake of Two Islands, located just north of the village. The boys will enjoy camping Ontario in tents and challenging the great outdoors.
