The winning pitcher was Randy Underwood who, went the distance allowing six hits while striking out 28 batters. The losing pitcher for Lindsay was, Jeff Hutton who also " went the distance and allowed only three hits. The winning run was scored in the bottom of the lSth inning when Gary Vaughn doubled with two out. He was driven home by Scott Beaithwho, hit a high bouncer to third which was thrown wildly to firat allowing the runner to score. In fact, Vaughn had two of Whitby's three hit contributing a triple and a double to the offensive effort. The other single was hit by Wayne Ownn.
