Ruddy General Hospital. The bright pink replica of Insp. Clousseau 's nemisis was donated to the hospital by Bilan Thompson of the local firm of Thompson In- surance. Thompson said that the Pink Panther is fthe officiai trademark of Safeco Insurance - one of the companies he represents. Thompson said that he bought the doil for the hospital because he knows what terrible places hospitals can be for children. His daughter, Kelly, aged 7, iïs an asthniatic and Ymust spend con- siderable time in hospital each year. "I really like this dol because it's free stan- ding," Thompson said. "Kids can walk up to it, shake its hand and talk té tit.
