The keynote speaker is Howard Mednick of the management con- sulting firm of Howard Honickman and Associates. He also writes for the technology section . of "Canadian Lawyer" magazine. All are welcome to at- tend. JAMBOREE The Whitby Chamber of Commerce will holds it Bicentennial Jam- boree this Sunday (Sept. 9) at the Heydenshore Pavilion. The day will be kicked off with a pancake breakfast put on by the ladies' auxiliary of the Fourth Whitby Scouts and Guides. The day will also feature an antique car show, a 10km. run, a hot dog and corn roast, a concert by the Whitby Brass Band, a frog jum- ping contest, a tug of war and an Olde Tyme Fiddling contest. Admission is free although there will be a small charge for the refreshments. RAFFLE The Whitby-Brooklin Block Parent Association is holding a raffle on Oct. 11. The prize is $500. This is the group's only fund raising ac- tivity for the year and proceeds will be used for educational aids and operating expenses.
