WHITBY FREE PRESS AUTO GUIDE, WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 24, 1984, PAGE 3 Nissan Trucks - Looking For Adventure Take a tough look at our new trucks when you're looking for ad- venture. Nissan trucks are built to take on whatever comes their way. When you're behind the wheel of a Nissan four wheel drive truck, you've got heavy metal thunder. Our 2.4 litre, hemi- head engine has got what it takes to get you where you're going. On the highway or through the deep snow in the backwoods. In a Nissan 4x4 it doesn't really matter. Because with the highest minimum ground clearance in its class, getting there is half the fun. Getting back, the other half. You want a truck that looks as good as it is tough. Mean. Clean. Af- ter all, you just won't 1985 NISSAN REGULAR BOX STANDARD Broken Thermostat Affects Gas Usage If your car has been slow to warm up during cold winter mornings, you may be due for a new thermostat. Con- trolling the flow of water between the radiator and the engine, the thermostat is a tem- perature control valve which keeps engine temperature within proper limits. Replacing this part is a minor expense that can pay for itself in a short time says Car Care Council. A ther- mostat that's stuck open wil cause the engine to run cold, increasing gasoline consumption by as much as 10 to 20 percent. If it sticks in the closed position, the car wiil overheat, possibly damaging the engine. Another valve in the cooling system is the radiator pressure cap, which keeps the cooling system under pressure, thereby increasing the boiing point of the coolant. When the pressure cap fails the engine may overheat and coolant goes into the reservoir tank, even- tually overflowing to the ground. A visual check of the pressure cap may ex- pose a faulty gasket or a weak spring. But the best check is with a pressure tester designed for this pur- pose, generally used by most service shops. This indicates the condition of the cap and tests the rest of the cooling system for leaks. double wall strong box to protect the outer body. Hustler 4x4 is for the rebel in us all.
