When I look around at our own.well-fed youngsters, my heart bleeds for the mothers who cannot feed their cbildren., I want to help, but like most women my personal resources are smail and the pittance 1 could send seems woefully inadequate. But when I read about the Ottawa woman who suggested donating the family allowance cheque, that seemed to be a reasonable solution. The next problem was getting around to sending it,,off and finding 'out where to send it. It occured to me that perhaps.fthere are many womeén out'there who feel th es am 1eway and that perhaps I could help al 0f us so I cameup with a plan. I wil provide a box in the Cbildren's Marketplace where Famîly Allowance cheques and any other donations you care to make may be deposited. Then. I can send what will hopefuily be a sizeable amount in the name of the women of Durham Region. If you would like to contribute something to help aileviate the awful suffering of these innocent children just pop into the store and deposit it in the box.
