It is estimated that 1,000 units of blood are used per day in the Toronto area. Whitby's goal for this Jan. 15 clinic is 350 units and our record clinic saw 414 units donated. These numbers represent ap- proximately one-third of the amount of blood used in Toronto in one day. Become a regular donor and help supply this urgently needed gif t of life. The clinic on Jan. 15 will be held at the Legion Hall on Byron St. S. between the hours of 1 and 8 p.m. Any healthy person between the ages of 17 and 65 inclusive can give blood by a process that takes ap- proximately 45 minutes. This process includes registering, having blood tested, giving blood, resting and having a snack. During the clinic, the donors' needs are looked after by the blue- smocked volunteers who are always cour- teous and helpful.
