PAGE 6, WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 1985, WHITBY FREE PRESS Broklin Bylines By BETTY-JEAN BLYTH " Call 655-3679 with Items for this column Recently I came across an adjunct to Murphy's Laws called "Jones Laws, Principles and Axioms". The best of which are - -The man who can smile when things go wrong has thought of someone he can blame it on (usually his wife). -If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. -After things have gone from bad to worse, the cycle will repeat itself. All of which prompted me to add a couple of my own which are as follows: -The phone call you're waiting for never comes until you're in the shower. -Kids and husbands will make a liar out of you every time eg. tell everyone that "George hates dancing" and next thing you know he's up discoing with the cute blonde at the next table. Tell your hostess that Junior hates brussel sprouts and he not only asks for a second helping but queries why you never serve them at home. -Shoe me a house with kids and l'Il show you a house where every deck of cards counts out somewhere between 37 and 51. (Do you suppose that's where euchre originated?)
