The cost is $21 for a three year renewal but anyone wishing ta get the photo license prior ta their usual renewal date can do sa for a fee of $7, Miss Donald said. The new identification cames in two parts, both of which *must be carried by the licensee when driving. It canslsts of a photo card and a license card similar to the aid style of license. In this way, drivers won't have ta have a new picture taken every time they change their address. Only the licen- se card will have ta be updated ta show the new address and the photo card will be updated every three years with renewal. The Whitby licensine office bas added one fuil-time staff member ta accommodate the new systens and Miss Donald estimated the office would be able ta handie up ta 200 renewals a day once the operation ls in full swing.
