In game one 9-4 and gaine two '7-3 in Newinarket, Whitby was the aggressor of the two teams. Game three went 11-10 in 10 innings. This final gaine seemed out of reach when Newrnarket juxnped ahead 5-0 in the first in- ning against starter Harold Moore. W.M.B.A. Tykes sweep Brampton making finals The W.M.B.A. Tyke Ail Star tearri qualified for the provincial finals this past weekend by defeating a tough Brampton team two stralght. The firat gaine played in Whitby saw the Tykes jump out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and neyer look back winning 10-. Hlitters for Whitby included Andy Mathers with t'wo with singles going to Tin Grylîs, Keith MWill, Ian Andrew and Kevin Harper. Brett Rayne, Whtby's cat- cher also singled, walked twice and scored tbree ruas while cat- ching a flawless game. Sparkling defensive plays by David Lylyk, Ian Andrew and Tim Grylls helped Whitby's ace hurler Tim Pud- <ister put this one in the win colurnn. Unlike the first gaine the second -match-up saw the two teams tied through four inninga before the Cobi Food teain froin Whitby went ahead to stay. Keith Milîs pitched a master- piece while earning the ail important win that put the team into the O.B.A. finals in Waterloo on the Labour Day weekend.
