Free Press photo Johnson its top wrestler Brendon Johnson of the Whitby Optimists Wrestling organization (WOWO) was named most outstan- ding wrestler and Col. J.E.- Farewell was named most outstan- ding teamn during a wrestling meet held at the school last Wednesday. Johnson received the award as the most dominant wrestler in his category, 83 lbs., gaining 12 points against alibhis opponents. A total of six schools, including 54 wrestlers, competed at the meet hosted by WOWO. The following are the top finishers in their class: Tim Stone, Palmerston, 57 lbs; David Kuch- ma, Palmerston, 61 lbs; Danny Finnet, R.A. Chapelle and vice Colleen Bowie teamed with second Penny Stevens and lead Fern Fulton to win the playoffs which involved the ladies' Monday and Thursday night rinks. Chapelle and Bowie joined with second Ivadel Robertson and lead Earlene Gorman to emerge as run- ner-up. Second prize in the playoffs went to the rink of skip Jan Palmer, vice Elaine Forshaw, second Monica Duquette and lead Marion Sparrow. Runner-up was the rink of skip Mary Parks, vice Marlene Sh- aw, second Doris Anderson and lead Irene Thompson. The consolation prize went to the rink of skip Muriel Prosser, vice Janet Zimmerman, second Ivadel Robertson and lead Gail Holmes. Runner-up was the rink of skip'Ev Miller,' vice Sandira Wood, second Nan Bennett and lead Fern Fulton.
