Holy Family Church is located at the corner of Manning Rd. and Rib- blesdale Dr. BLOOD DONOR CLINIC The Whitby branch of the Canadian Red Cross will hold their blood donor clinic on Tuesday, April 7 from 1 until 8 p.m. at the Legion Hall on Byron St. S. . For many clinics the Red Cross receives assistance from com- munity organizations. Such is the case at April's clinic as the Whitby Jaycettes are contributing volun- teer areas. As well, the West Lynde girl guides will be serving tea and c.offee to the donors during the evening. Any healthy person between the ages of 17 and 65 can give blood. The process of registering, having blood tested, donating, resting and snacking takes approkimately 45 minutes to one hour of time. Volun' teers are friendly and helpful. One donation of blood can help as many as four people, It can be broken down into its components - plasma, platelets, red cells and cryopreciapitate - and in this way can be given to four different people. AUXILIARY MEETING The Whitby General Hospital auxiliary will hold its annual meeting at the Whitby Public Library on Monday, April 6 at 8 p.m. Following the meeting, Janet Jones will demonstrate the art of cake decorating. Anyone interested in auxiliary work is invited to at- tend the meeting. WINDOW DISPLAYS The Whitby Downtown Business Improvement Area is planning to hatch some "eggscellent" window displays in the downtown area before Saturday, when' "eggstra" special events will be held.
