In 1987, Whitby charged Uxbridge $800 for the service. Council was aiso informed that a new system of collecting revenue from Uxbridge will be introduced when the Region of Durham introduces the 911 emergency number. S. The car theft occurred around midnight on Saturday, Feb. 27. T7he owner of the car, a 1980 Pontiac, was busy helping to start another vehicle in the parking lot when the man jumped, into his car.
