The Hunters are proféssfonaf actors who, using English style humor, perform draniatic sketches that encourage questions and open doors for the gospel. Recentiy, the couple gave a stimulating performance at the Anglican Women's Conference. In Bri*tain, the Hunters performed on radio, TV and in the theatre. Currently, the couple are T ennis celulb interest There has been a recent surge of interest in the formation of a joint tennis club with Brooklin residents. Some of the more interesting ideas include the construction of tennis courts at the Ashburn Community Park. The Town of Whitly has indicated they will match any funds raised for this project. While only in the conceptional Council approves halladdition Whitby council has given approval to the construction of a storage facility for the fire hall in Myrtie at a cost of $21,697. The low bidder on the contract was Walter Haines Construction Ltd. of Seagrave. Work is expected to begin this summer. Canada Day July lst will be celebrated in Ashburn with a Canada Day picnic. To start the long weekend off, a pancake breakfast will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Besides a free breakfast, there will be games, contests, art activities, and lots of prizes.
