The absence of any or ail of the above qualfications should flot be rep-arded as a deterent to applyi ne Duties: You and other sucoessful candidates will 1) budget the collection and expenditure of more than $10 million dollars, 2) supervise and take full responsibility for the activities of an unwieldy municipal bureaucracy and 3) exercise full jurisdiction over the extent, speed and character of growth of the. municipality. Your employer will be the 50,000 residents of a-prosperous and rapidly-growing municipality just east of Metropolitan Toronto. These 50,000 people w/zo each have an equal say in your selection have been found by previous incumbents to be fickle, demanding, stingy and unreasonable. Remuneration: Starting salary for the successful candidate at the entry level of Ward cauncîllor will be in the $10 - 11,000 range; howe ver, you will be in the enviable position of being able ta raise your own salary by mut ual agreement with your fellow cauncillors. Your employer need not be consulted, but a good explanation will bé required if you are seeking renzewal for another term. Selection process: Candidates* are expected ta make their application directly ta the people. This process is very time cansuming, very hard on yaur feet and serious candidates should expect ta spend no less than $2 - 3,000. Among the inottoes painted on the walls of the churcb are: 'Wonderful Counsellor, the Ahnigbty God," and "This is the Head of the Body, the Cburch."
