WH1BY REEPI~~SS ~ElESY,DECEMBER 21, 1988, PAGE il THE TRUE MEANIG-0F CRSMAS, As an elderly lady slowly wandered amidst the hustie and bustie of Christmas shoppers in a busy mail, she glances acroes the colonade and notices excited children anxiously awaiting their turn for a special visit with jolly santa. As she drifts a littie farther past the crowds of Christmas shoppers, overladden witb gifts worth hundreds of dollars, she finds a bench to sit on and rest for awhile. Suddenly a small tear rolls down her face covered with limes of wdom, as she thinks about how they have lost the real meaning of Christmas. They forget about the suffering in Africa and the lack of peace and brotherhood in the holv land. where the pain does not stop for Christmas, and shakes ber head despairingly. She says to herseif if only one of these shoppers could change.
