Police say a man entered the store at 112 Lu in Dr. at 10:35 p.m. on Frida aý,n.21. The nman waited until th e store was empty of customers and then approa- ched the cashier, pulling a knfe- and demanding money. He fled the store and jurnped into the passenger side o a Pathfinder pick-up truck. Police spotted the vehicle at Hwy 401 and Brock, St. in Whitby and gave chase. They' lost the vehicle in Ajax when it left the 401 at Harwood Ave. It was spotted minutes later at Pickering Parkway and Brock Rd. in Pickering. The Pathfinder was abandoned a short distance away. rThe two men fled from the triuck on foot with police in pur- suiit~ Police lost the two men when tIxey entered the Sheridan shop- piing centre. The rnan in the store is descri- bed as a male. white, 20-22 years of age with sble-egh ih brown hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and a three -quar- ter length coat.
