Roy's Enterprises Travellin' Pillsbury defeated Pembroke Old Boys 10-3 in the final game to win the Wilson Cup. For the tournament, George Hilliard of Roy's Enterprises had a goal and nine assists while Ken Rae and AI Madden each had three goals and five assists. One of Rae's goals came on a penalty shot. Jim Williams and Paul Knibb each had four goals and two assists, Graham Sangwin and John Scattergood each had two goals and twob assists, AI Denault a goal and an assist, and John Nagy and Rick Mattes, two ass- ists each. Dave Burroughs w as solid in net for Roys E nterprises throughout the tournament. Peewee Bs eliminated Whitby minor peewee 13s drop- ped a 3-2 decision to Aurora with 38 seconds remaining in the fourth game to lose their Ontario playdown series three gaines to one. Obituar y GEX"ORALD VERWEY An accountant with Ontario Hydro for 28 years, Gea-ad Anthony Joseph Verwey died at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, on Saturday, March 25,1989. A resident of VWtby for Il years, he previously lived in Scarborough. A son of the late William Verwey and Hendrina Janssen, he was born at Nijmegen, Holland on Oct. 20, 1920. He was a inember of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholie Ohurch, Whitby. Mr. Verwey is survived by his wife, the former Trudy Vonk, whom he maried at Toronto on Nov. 11, 1950. Me is also survived b y one son, Paul and bis wife Karen of Whitb. two daughters, Mrs. Michael Poce (Jose) of Lorner Park and Mrs. Paul Page (Elise) Of Newmarket; four grandchildren, Kimberley, Mark and Ryan and Kaitlin Page; bis father-in-law William Vonk and several brothers and sisters in Rolland and Canada. Mr. Verwey was at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa. A private funeral service was conducted at St. John the Evangelist Church, Whitby, on March 28, 1989 by Rev.
