Hlewas born in Whitby, son of Edgar Frank and Susan (Apple- ton)ý Alloway. A former truck driver, he was a Whitby resident ail his life and member of St. John's Anglican Church. He is survived by William, Ann, James and Catherine. He was predeceased by brother Cecil and sister Helen. The funeral was held from the Town Funeral Chapel on Wed- nesday, July 5. Interment at St. John's Anglican in Port Whitby. ARTHfUR MITCHELL Arthur Douglas Mitchell of Oshawa died at Whitby General Hospital on June 29. 1989. He was 63. He was bori. on March 12, 1926 in Dorset, England, son of Reginald and Ada ( Marsh) Mit- chell. He married Veranica on Octo- ber 23, 1948. A Whxtby resiaent for 21 years, Mr. Mitchell was retired from his employment as.custodian. He is survived by brothers Maurice and Gordon, and sisters Violet, Gertie, Gwen and Joyce. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister. The funeral was held July 4, with Fr. Stan conducting.
