More than 300 delegates, in- cluding those from ustra la, Colombia, India, Papua New Guinea, Switzerland, Uganda United Kingdom and Unitecl States heard pakers discuss the Y*CA'ýs future plans proniot- ing public education on women's issues and ýresponsible social, action and change. Delegates passed a resolutibn supporting preventative health care and a resolution supporting~ the United Nations' definition of "sustainable developnxent" as the «ability of huinanity to survive through the rational use- of renewable resources without interrupting ecological systems or over-ex ploiting natural resouroes andl without disrupting culture or societies, allowing each to reach its potential." "There's also a lot of dancing. <'Transportation was grecat. With one bus pass, y ou could use' the whole system. The Swiss are very efficient, well organized and conservative people." .The country was beautiful and Hyatt got the chance to see much Of it. UI skied in the Alps, went to Paris, saw the Louvre, the Eifile Tower, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and much, rýnuch more. «It was an amazmng experience. My favorite part was mxeeting people and making friends. If 1 nad a chancei rd go agamn next year. I would encourage everyone to apply for an exchange." Jenny has one year Ieft at Denis O'Connor. She plans te, go on to take English, history and French. '«I amn interested in teaching English as a second language in Switzerand," she said.
