The first teain was not able to end. their Beach losing streak, which dates back to 1985, as the Beach seconds defeated Vikings 24-13. Oshawa points were scored by Vince Squarcitto and Dave Kimmerly with tries, and Mike Clayton with a penalty kick. Vikings' second team fared much better, defeating Beach fourth team 18-15. Scorers for Oshawa il were Dan Edwards and Sean Lalonde with tries, and Ian Thompson with two converts and two penalty kicks. Ail three Viking teams are in action on Saturday, Aug. 12. The first team travels to Peterborough, while the seconds and thirds host the Ajax Wanderers seconds and thirds at Lakeview Park in Oshawa. Wihile the Vikings' senior teains were enJoying their suin- mer break, the junior teams were getting their season rolling. The Vikings' under-19 team recently played two gaines.
