Ini the Briggs and Stratton restricted junior class, Brett won four of the five races i the selles. Tracie managed te capture sixth overaîl, in the male- dominated senior division, a fin- ish that is particularly impres- sive as she was recovering from a kart accident while racing at Shannonville, Ont. Brett previously returned from the Wold Karting Association Gold Cup Grand Na:tionalsi Rockingham, North Carolina. He raced i two classes, restricted junior stock and junior super stock. In restricted junior stock, Brett qualiflod l6th out of 53 entrant- sin time trials, with only 20/100 of a second separating lOth and l6th place after time trials. He thon finished the race i l4th place. In junior superstock, a much' faster class, Brett, the only Canadian junior driver at this event, had clutch problemýs and qualifled 25th out of 38 entrants in timo trials.
