PAGE 8, WITBY FREE PRESS, WEDNESDAY, JULY 4, 1990 f 3 TRAFALGAR CASTLE SCHOOL (Founded 1874) WHERE EACH GIRL IS AN INDIVIDUAL Trafalgar Castle School is committed to the idea of the. all female school in a predominantly co-educational world. Girls thrive in such an environment. Currently undergoing an expansion programm e, Trafalgar Castie limits its enrolment to 200 in order-to meet more satisfactorily the individualI needs of each student. Classes are kept small. Mixing traditional values with up-to-date programmes and facilities, Trafalgar Castle offers its students vigorous academic courses and wide ranging extra-curricular activites in an historic atmosphere. For more than a century our school has been sending forth young women to take their places in universities, in the work place and in society. We intend to main- tain that record in the century ahead. BECOME A PART OF THIS TRADITION As the population of Durham increases, th e demand for day positions at the school has grown to the point where we must expand o ur facilities to accommodate this pressure. We are currently undergoing a 2.5 million dollar ex pansion programme. We are proud of our contribution to the education of girls from the D urham Region and look forward to welcoming new day girls at Trafalgar Castle. We are now accepting applicants for both day and residential students for September, 1990. Grades 7-13.
