S Hagan .undertook his own exploration cf Canada te produoe 16 interpretations c f the coun- try's bistory. The artwork for the stamps evolved from the moode and spirits evoked by the explorers. Haa says that «factual presen- tatiori, accurate rendgring are net factors of my work.» The collection shown at The Station Gallery shows the deve- lopment cf bis images cf explo- ration, from prelimhinary notes, rough drawings and comprehen- sive paintings te the final version cf the. stamps.
