Ninety per cent of the time we don't get the recognition we- feel that we deserve for working above and beyond the. cail of duty. However,' Anderson feels that extending acknowledgement to, those who are entitled will g*v them the incentiveý to aim high every time. The junior awards ceremony wilI ho held tomnorrow night. This will recognize students in grade 10, il and 12 for their special achievements. Commencement will ho held, on Friday for those students who have graduated from Anderson and will be returning to receive that piece of paper' that represents the last four or five yearis of their lives. These people are a generation of the future and will bernoving on to jobs, universities and colleges. Tiffany Wright will be valedictorian, addressing the gathering on behalf of her fellow stà-dents. Colleges and universities will be conducting seminars at the school this week. For those thinking' about, attending a university, Waterloo, Trent and Queens representatives will be at the school. Counselors in our gLuidance'office are certainly busy getting students prepareti right now. Guidance staff aren't the only ones busy at Anderson. Our student council members ended their fundraising sale of chocolate bars last Fiiday. The coundcil will now be collecting the mroey from- the sales and wilI determine if we've reached this year's goal. As well, last week endeti the sale of Anderson leather jackets. On the sports scene this week (Way >te, go, Jays!). Anderson's soccer team will- be playing Vanier and, Port Perry high schools. Anderson's hockey teain is now selling Raiders t-shirts. (They are of fine, durable quality and will last wash after wash).
