Twenty-three Whitby swim- mers are now in Florida at a sping camp, preparation for lon g course (50-metre pool) meets that begin in April and end in August. The opposition for the contest was a Markham AA team that Whitby saw for the first time this year. Whitby rose to the occasion by playing te a 2-2 draw and nearly won as Markham tied it up with only 22 seconds remaining in the final period. Lisa Vanderlip notched the flrst goal for WVhitby on a set-up from Jennifer Penney, and Stacy Beetham scored the second goal in an unassisted effort.
