"It was fun, but no one dîd really well," said Jennifer Crow- der, who coinpeted in the 50m, 10Dm and 20Dm breaststroke, 20Dm backstroke and 20Dm in- dividual medley. She was only able to maintain her 10Dm breaststroke timne of one minute, 18.2 seconds. Fifteen-year-old VanDijk raced in the 5Dm, 10Dm and 20Dm breastroke events at his first Nationals competition. He admits he was nervous seeing the high-calibre and Olympic athletes and gays "It's sort of weird sitting next to them." On Aug. 4 Falcons travelled te Scarborough and gained a measure of rovenge with a 4-2 win over Scarborough Blues who had eliminated Falcons from CSL cup play. Scoring that nîght for Falcons were Stevon Porco with two and Andy Methven and Matt Morgan with singles. Aug. il found Falcons at home where they handed Wexford a 4-1 defeat. Robbie Reid with two, Mike Hall and Morgan with one each provided the scoring. Both victories saw solid backfleld play from Brott Allen, Alex Richardson and Stuart Turpin and fine performances froin Neil Hubley in goal. Falcons travel te Harrisburg, Pa. Aug. 21-22 for the Redland Soccer tournament.
