On Saturday in Bowmanville against the league-leaders, Whitby jumped te a strong start and created many scoing opportunities early but could n et get the puck in the net. Midway through the second period Bowmanville opened the scoing on a scramble. A few minutes later, the Rat Pack tied the score when Sean Pitcher scored on the rebound from, a Sean Kerr shot. The Whitby Flying Fish and Chips miner atoin AAA hockey teain, after a slow start te the season, has begun te xnesh as a total teain with a win, two ties and a less recently. Against Oshawa, Whitby boasted a 2-0 win behind the great goaltending of Joël Whitmarsh. Marksmen for Whitby were Bob Gawne and Matt Taylor assisted by Nathan Cotter and Tom Ricica. Cotter netted both goals, the first unassisted early in the first period, the latter assisted by Berkuyl and Kubrynski.
