Whitby won the first two games of the best-offive series lby scores of 5-3 on Saturday and 7-3 on Sundaiy. On Saturday, Jaznie Hogel pro- vided fine goaltendling and John Liriano soered a goal and had two asists. Whitby Goldwings finished the regularseasion with four out of a possible six points to finish second out of nine teanis in minor atom AA hockey. Whitby took advantage of Pîcloering twice at home with identical 4-1 victories. Effective defensive work by blueliners MJ. Atkinas, Scott Beethani, Robert Loba, Jef Pichut, Shawn Stephens and Adam Vlacich severely liniited Pïckerings chances.
